Kanye West’s mom, Donda West, went from modest beginnings, to the limelight as her son rose to be one of the biggest rappers in the world. As his manager, she became a regular at the brightest parties in showbiz. In doing so she broke every stereotype about single black women raising her sons. But, on November 10, 2007, Donda West, underwent cosmetic surgery and died 24 hours later.
