Dr. Lindsay Zanno, Head of Paleontology NC Museum of Natural Sciences

Dr. Lindsay Zanno is the Head of Paleontology at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and an associate research professor in biological sciences at N.C. State University. She's also as passionate about educating the public on the scientific process and instilling trust in the people and institutions who test and research as she is her own chosen field of paleontology. You can sense her excitement for her work when she describes the museum's upcoming "Dueling Dinosaurs" exhibit (scheduled to open in 2022) that will not only teach visitors about dinosaurs and dino fossils, but allow people to experience and participate in the process of learning and discovering information along side researchers and technicians. We spoke with Dr. Zanno about her career, the exhibit, naming dinosaurs and life at a dig site. She even humored us by answering some silly questions about how hard it might be to make Jurrasic Park a reality. Please support the businesses who support us: Papa Murphy's Take N Bake Pizza of Raleigh and Steele Residential.Subscribe to Podcast Raleigh on your favorite podcast sites so you never miss an episode, and if you enjoy it we'd love for you to rate or read a comment:Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/podcast-raleigh/id1458907220Google: https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/ps/Inzk5woxrsjwf3zhd5vv3av4yeiStitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/podcast-raleighSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6b3dVvLJfO0EqvDGQaFTAP
