If You Want A Great Lawn This Summer, Listen To Learn Some Tips For Fertilizing Your Lawn | TIps

The time to start feeding the grass is early in the spring so that it will be really healthy by the time it gets really hot.

First, consider using an organic fertilizer to boost growth rather than a chemical mix. These products reduce the possibility of “burning” the grass and they don't have to be watered after application.

Regardless of the product you use, you can end up with “stripes” across the lawn if you don't make careful passes with the fertilizer applicator.

Try laying out markers at each end of the yard which are spaced at about the width of your spreader. This will help you keep track of what you've covered so you can be sure each pass overlaps the previous one by a little bit.
