Gururaj Sanil is a snake rescue expert, author and environmentalist who has rescued over 25,000 snakes over the last 30 years, has helped educate numerous people about the peaceful nature of snakes, and promoted their environmental conservation.

In the episode, Gururaj shares how and why snakes have always had a special place in human imagination and history. He explains the behaviour of various snakes including cobras and rat snakes and explains why and when snakes enter human living spaces. He also shares about snake worship traditions like Nagaradhane from Coastal Karnataka and helps listeners understand their significance.
