No Holden Back Episode: 50 - Warren Pick - Veteran TV Director/Producer

In this episode, I’m joined by veteran TV director/producer, Warren Pick. We first met back in 2012 on a lacrosse event for CBS Sports Network, since then we’ve become good friends a working colleagues. Warren grew up in NYC a New Jersey, his mother a father were both in the entertainment business, his mom was an actress, his dad an entertainment lawyer. Warren attended Ithaca College a began his directing career in local TV news in Ithaca, NY a later in Binghamton, NY. In the 1970’s, he was hired as a runner for ABC Sports, one of his first assignments was working the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY. During the 1980 USA/USSR hockey game, he was standing behind Al Michaels a Ken Dryden, as they called the Miracle On Ice! He tells that story a many others from the 1980 Olympics!! Warren has worked for virtually every major TV network in his career directing sports, just about every sport in fact!! He also spent several years at MSG Network, directing the Knicks, Rangers and several other events with MSG. Warren also talked with me at length about his advice for young men a women who desire to do what he has done in sports television for over 40 years!!
