In each episode – up until the run-up to the first-ever Climate Adaptation Summit in 2021 – one of our experts will talk to a guest about their projects and ideas to maximise the potential of climate adaptation. In our fifth and final episode of the series, Hanne Knaepen, who is coordinating ECDPM’s work on climate, talks to Kitty van der Heijden, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and former Director for Africa-Europe relations at the World Resources Institute. The two discuss the Dutch government’s priorities in the field of climate adaptation and reflect on some of the topics discussed throughout the podcast series.
