Emperor Alexander I of Russian was considered the most romantic and melodramatic ruler in an age known for its melodrama and romance. He was a man raised and educated in the ideals of the Enlightenment and then expected to become the absolute ruler of the most autocratic county in the world. He was loved by the people and hailed as a savior, yet he would have traded his horse for a crown. In this bonus episode, I deep dive into the man that was Alexander Romanov.
