Tenant Rights (with Leah Goodridge)

This July 4th holiday week, DeRay shares the underreported news of the week, highlighting the story about Angeli Rose Gomez, mother of two children who were held hostage during the Uvalde shooting and rushed in past the police to save them. Gomez has been an outspoken parent about the police's response to the shooting and has experienced harassment and false accusations.

DeRay also speaks to Leah Goodridge, a Commissioner from the NYC Planning Commission and housing rights advocate about the fight for Tenant's Rights, her vote  and issues around housing affordability in New York City. She also talks about why she was one of two Commissioners who voted No on a controversial residential building project in Harlem.
