Electronic music pioneer Martyn Ware joins me to talk co-creating The Human League, touring with Iggy Pop, splitting from The Human League and forming Heaven 17, producing Tina Turner’s comeback single, DEVO, the impact of Brian Eno, glam rock, "Penthouse & Pavement", the synthesizer manifesto, Dr. Rhythm, growing up in Sheffield, retaining artistic control, politics, his terrific podcast “Electronically Yours With Martyn Ware” & more. The first half of this show was recorded at Martyn’s studio in London, and the 2nd half over Zoom many months later.
