Dr. Juriaan Galavazi - How to Take Charge of Life and Know the Price You're Willing to Pay

I spent a month in the Netherlands and spoke with some of the wisest minds in the country. For the next several weeks, we'll be bringing you episodes from my Tour of Holland.

Dr. Juriaan Galavazi is a trendsetting doctor with a new vision on health and vitality. He is the author of Van klacht naar kans and Jij bent de Liefde.

Years ago, Juriaan completely changed course in his general practice after experiencing burnout himself. The key takeaway: the body and mind are inextricably linked.  As he has noticed in his years of practice, stress and a head full of thoughts can make you physically sick. Where you can no longer say no with your head, your body will do it for you.

What is the price you're willing to pay?

Listen as we discuss:

  • Why pain is a good thing for us.
  • We may not know where to go, but we do know when we're going wrong.
  • You're not obligated to give value to the lives of others.
  • Being 100% yourself is the foolproof way to happiness.
  • We all have the opportunity to be in charge of our lives.
  • Do not make your wellbeing dependent on the outcome of your achievements.
  • What is the price you're willing to pay?
  • Dokter Juriaan's top tip: build a kind relationship with yourself.
