Tour Catch-Up: First time champs, Serena’s Toronto stop and “Off court” coaching begins
In the latest episode of Tennis Weekly, Joel and Kim catch up on the week on tour post-Wimbledon which saw Maxime Cressy and Bernarda Pera win their first tour titles, as well as Francisco Cerundolo and Petra Martic picking up titles on the clay.
With Maxime Cressy looking set to be seeded at the US Open, Dominic Thiem picking up his first two wins back on the ATP Tour, two Serbian WTA Finalists and Caroline Garcia’s Renaissance temporarily restarting and stopping again, there is plenty of tennis chat to sink your teeth into.
Joel also tests Kim with a difficult (be warned!) Par for The Court, and they discuss the introduction of coaching on the ATP Tour as a trial and Serena Williams returning to the tour in Toronto.
