We speak to Gordon Dundas, a whisky industry veteran who is International Brand Ambassador for Ian Macleod Distillers, responsible for well-known (and well-aged) Glengoyne. We find out from Gordon why time and place make whisky such a special drink, and learn a little about the business of whisky. And it’s a business with (perhaps) surprising parallels to watches in terms of the importance of heritage and tradition, but also when it comes to the challenges facing the business in 2022.
