61: Noah Averbach-Katz, Ryn from "Star Trek: Discovery"

Noah Averbach-Katz was the Andorian named Ryn from season three of "Star Trek: Discovery" and quickly became a fan-favorite character. Underneath that makeup was Noah Averbach-Katz, a legit hardcore Trekkie with a deep passion for the franchise that started as a child. He is also the significant other of Mary Wiseman, AKA Ensign Sylvia Tilly on DSC.

Noah discusses his background in acting and love for Star Trek, how he met his eventual wife at Julliard and what he did to help her prep for her Discovery audition, how he was cast in the show, what the arduous makeup process was like, and behind-the-scenes stories from the episodes he appeared in, including one from the episode he did that Jonathan Frakes directed. Plus, stories from other shows and plays Noah appeared in, running Dungeons & Dragons sessions for his fellow Star Trek cast members, addressing the trolls & haters who attack his wife, and much more in this interesting chat with everyone's favorite Andorian (not played by Jeffrey Combs, who we do also discuss of course)!
