Expert on Delta and Delta plus variants of Covid-19

In June, the Indian government announced that they have detected an offshoot of the Delta variant, which they named the Delta Plus variant. The Delta variant was first found in India and has been attributed to the surge in cases during the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.  What do we know about the Delta variant and how much should we be worried about the Delta plus variant?
