Two weeks ago was the anniversary of the day I asked my ex-husband for a divorce.

It was also the day my mom was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian cancer.

The lessons have been so ingrained in my mind. But I’ve reached the point where the pain and rage no longer trigger me, and I look back at them as valuable learning experiences.
