The Power of Being Surrounded By Like Minded Individuals With Neil CarlinSchauer

In this episode, I interview Neil CarlinSchauer, a software engineer. He talks about how he went from being a super senior failing classes to becoming a full stack software engineer who is now leading projects and mentoring junior engineers. Seeking and creating opportunities was a recurring theme in Neil’s career. Neil goes in depth on how he “leveled up” during college with his first internship and by surrounding himself with like minded individuals. To wrap up the interview I asked him what are four tips for software engineering candidates, he replied with five: Research the company you’re applying for Be up to date on your technical skills (fundamentals) Practice interviewing Solid communication Don’t be a dick Be sure to checkout Neil CarlinSchauer on social:https://www.linkedin.com/in/neilcarlinschauer/Pramp - referral link we both get free peer to peer interviewing creditshttps://www.pramp.com/invt/lYxw4xqvojcmWYrVQ0mASocial Media:zeroplusonepodcast.cominstagram.com/zeroplusonepodcastlinkedin.com/company/zeroplusonepodcasttwitter.com/zeroplusonepodfacebook.com/zeroplusonepodcast
