Hi. It’s been a while since I popped into this feed. 

Let me get you updated, and then let me share what’s coming. Because I can’t wait to share with you what’s coming. 

Most of you on this feed know me from hosting The Children’s Book Podcast or from my work as a school librarian. Those two amazing experiences helped to lead me to where I am today: Head of Podcasts at A Kids Book About. I lead the development of a network of outstanding podcasts created for kids ages 6-12+ and their grownups and it is incredible work. I also host A Kids Book About: The Podcast, our flagship podcast. 

I recorded a special bonus episode for that show a few weeks ago and that bonus episode has led to the creation of a brand new kids podcast on current events. I’m going to play that episode for you in just a moment. One, because I think you’ll enjoy it. But two, because it points towards the future of this podcast feed.

In a few weeks, this podcast will become Worth Noting (that’s the name of the show, by the way. Not me being being self-aggrandizing or something.) Worth Noting will be a show for kids and their grownups that breaks down current events as they happen, because the more we understand the history taking place in front of our eyes, the better we can see where we stand in it. 

You’ll still be able to find and access the entire archive of episodes of The Children’s Book Podcast. All 700+ stretching way back to when the show was called All The Wonders and, even before that, to when folks first discovered the show as Let’s Get Busy.

Only now, this new show will be a chance for me to engage  with you, your kids, and your students about all of the things happening in the world. 

And I am REALLY excited.
