The rituals, which one perceives as a superstition, professed by every religion have the highest integration of psychological reality into the daily life of a follower of that religion. Mahatria explains in this podcast that rituals are a form of the action-feeling cycle. We can't alter what we feel at will, but we have more control over our actions. And rituals are the actions that transform our feeling-domain through certain spiritual disciplines.
