Parents feeling forgotten as lockdowns drag on

As the second week of this stint of remote schooling draws to a close many parents are feeling like they might crumble under the weight of supervising education while trying to do their own jobs. Australian Institute of Family Studies research from last year’s lockdowns found that in these circumstances 40 per cent of parents are actively caring for their children during work hours, and 21 per cent are actively and passively caring for them.
