Upper East Siders do we have a treat for you! Today we’re joined by Eric Eidelstein, a writer on HBO’s Gossip Girl reboot, who also happens to be one of Liv’s friends from college. From freshmen in an NYU writing class to the silver screen, Liv and Eric talk about his journey as a writer and how he got his foot in the door in the writer’s room of one of TV’s biggest shows. Eric gives us a behind-the-scenes of writing for the show - from paying homage to the original show, including some of NYC’s hottest spots, what it was like working with Tavi, to his response to some of Twitter’s most critical threads. And for aspiring writers, he also gives us his best tips for writer’s block to navigating the entertainment industry.
