A Responsibility to Show Up: Mandana Dayani of I am a voter.

Well into adulthood, Mandana Dayani felt pressure to be the ideal daughter, immigrant and employee. Starting out as a lawyer, she’s had more than one impressive career. She’s had several, in fact, but it wasn’t until she found herself aghast at recent U.S. immigration practices that she found her true calling.

Working with friends and connections who were also passionate advocates for change, she co-founded I am a voter., a nonpartisan movement that aims to create a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement. Through her mission with I am a voter., Mandana works to make voting appealing and exciting to those in all walks of life, reminding people that creating lasting change may take time, but it all starts with the willingness to vote.
