The Mindset of Champions - Having a Growth Mindset

This episode was recorded in April 2019 but published mid-July 2019. In this episode, we discuss why some young athletes don't know what a growth mindset it. Instead, they are thinking about certain issues including whether they fit in, whether they're going to fail a the pressure they're dealing with. We discuss how athletes can worry about where they fit in now rather than thinking about the big picture and how they can get better which is what a growth mindset refers to. We discuss the philosophy of one of the greatest basketballers of the modern era, Steph Curry. Curry was small, slow, not a good shooter and constantly told how he wouldn't make it but persisted and persisted and believed in himself which lead to him becoming the best basketballer in the world. We share and discuss something that his mum said to him that he lived by that all young players can follow.  Here's the link to the article:  https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us/articles/stephen-curry-underrated When listening to this episode, we ask you to stop and think about what things you're worrying about and why you're worrying about them... Remember...no player who's ever made it hasn't worked for it.  Nothing great has ever been achieved without hard work. A growth mindset is trying to get better every day. Ask yourself, what can I do today, what can I do this week to make myself a better player and a better person? We hope you enjoy this episode.
