Breaking Glass Ceilings with Partake Foods Founder, Denise Woodard

This week we chat with Denise Woodard, Founder and CEO of Partake Foods, a natural food company inspired by her daughter’s experience with food allergies. A long way from where the brand started in 2017, with self-funding and self-distribution, Partake’s first product — delicious, better for you, allergy-friendly cookies — can now be found in more than 9,000 retailers. To date, the company has raised $19M from investors. Partake was named #45 on the Inc 5000 list in 2022. And, Denise was the first Black woman to raise more than $1 Million publicly for a CPG food startup. In this episode, Denise shares how she intentionally built her company to be 90% women, and 60% people of color and shows us how any "problem" is only one company away from being solved.
