Ep. 53 Erick Gelhaus of Gunsite and Cougar Mountain Solutions
Erick Gelhaus is s 29 year Law Enforcement veteran, former US Army infantry squad leader and Iraq veteran. He has decades of firearms instructor experience teaching both at his Sherriff's Department and the legendary Gunsite founded by Jeff Cooper the father of the modern technique. He recently founded Cougar Mountain Solutions, CMS is a training & consulting firm that focuses on Developing practitioners and programs, Educating those who discuss, explain, or review uses of force; Evaluating equipment, events, and performance. Erick is a subject matter expert in Red Dot optics on pistols, developing and leading the Gunsite's RDO program. He is also heavily focused on low light solutions, defensive shotgun, carbine and much more.

7 yards - IDPA/IPSC A zone or a B8 Bull repair center - shot timer.
On buzzer, draw strong hand only, fire 2 rounds center mass - in battery speed reload, change to two handed grip, fire 2 more rounds - speed reload 2 more rounds from support hand only.
