Grave of the Fireflies

One of the saddest movies we've ever covered- perfect for JB's birthday! In the waning days of World War II, two siblings, Seita and Setsuko, are orphaned and struggle to survive. Melissa offers a specifically spicy take on the film, and it devolves into a discussion about creeping fascism globally and in the United States. This is all about humanity and how we treat each other, which is generally badly.

Next week we're back with Creed, which is far more fun!

Check out The Patreon where we just covered the Hitchcock boxing movie The Ring and next up Fruitvale Station.
