Midnight in the Shenandoah Woods
Shenandoah is a phonetic rendering from the Algonquian schind-han-do-wi which means "beautiful daughter of the stars." The rolling hills are so iconic that not only have songs been written about them but the Shenandoah song is also known as the Ballad of America.
