October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a critical time to elevate a topic that is known as a “silent problem.” 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime. Veteran journalist, nationally syndicated talk show host and pet lover Tamron Hall shines a light on Domestic Violence and Pets and what is being done to keep pets and people together. It’s a topic that is near and dear to her heart having lost her beloved sister, Renate, to domestic abuse more than a decade ago.

During our talk, Tamron discusses The Purple Leash Project. Founded by Purina and RedRover, the Purple Leash Project provides resources to make domestic violence shelters pet-friendly, allowing pets and people to escape abuse and heal together.
