Keto For Epilepsy and Endurance Sports with Frida Teran (MD/PhD student)

In today episode, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Frida, (@afridateran https://www.instagram.com/afridateran/) who is pursuing a dual (MD/PhD) degree in Neuroscience studying epilepsy with a major goal of developing dietary therapies for patients that have uncontrolled seizures. It's a fantastic interview, and we talk about everything from endurance sports, to breath ketone meters, and much more. Frida Grew up in a small border town in North Mexico, later attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. After graduating she decided to pursue a dual (MD/PhD) degree by joining the University of Iowa Medical Scientist Training Program. She's currently working on my PhD in Neuroscience studying epilepsy with a major goal of developing dietary therapies for patients that have uncontrolled seizures. In her free time she enjoys strength training, cycling, and cooking. She has a passion for low-carb nutrition and ketogenic therapies for health and wellness.
