#165: Eric Baines | Come From A Small Town? No Problem! You Can Still Win In The Music Biz!

Eric Baines is a singer, songwriter, and the current bassist for the legendary band Chicago! Eric's music has also been featured on MTV, VH1, NBC, ABCFamily and HBO. He has toured and recorded with country icon, Dwight Yoakam, but he’s taken some crazy turns to get there. After attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, he moved back to his home town of Denver where he eked out a living playing blues in bars and nightclubs. He eventually was hired to play with contemporary jazz saxophonist, Nelson Rangell. Three years later he decided to make the move to Los Angeles, CA where he almost immediately started playing with artists like Lee Ritenour, Gregg Karukas, and Keiko Matsui who he spent 12 years on the road with as her Musical Director. These days, in between gigs, Eric hosts the podcast "Dive Bar Rock Star," wherein he interviews some of the heaviest cats in the biz! https://divebarrockstar.com/ Learn more about your ad choices.
