Can meat be part of a "sustainable" diet?

Short answer, yes. 
 
All conversations about sustainability must take into account the nutritional value of the foods they recommend, as well as the long term effects on ecosystems with producing those foods.
 
Plant foods, especially grains like corn, soy, etc. fail miserably on both of these counts. 
 
It's time to tell it like it really is. Well-raised beef is one of the MOST sustainable foods to include in your diet and monocrop plant foods are the LEAST sustainable foods you can possibly eat,
