A South Dakota teen pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the October 2019 killing of 16-year-old Shayna Ritthaler. A Colorado man is facing two counts of attempted murder following an alleged stabbing attack on his parents. Finally, in Australia, police arrested a suspect in the 1988 murder of American mathematician, Scott Johnson, whose body was found under a beach-side cliff. Johnson’s death was initially ruled a suicide, but a 2017 coronary inquest found he was likely ‘thrown, frightened or hounded’ off the cliffs by two or more people, in an anti-gay hate crime.
