Kerri Purdy: Resident Dermatology Education in Canada During the Pandemic

In a first ever CDA podcast crossover, Dermalogues host Kerri Purdy is Kirk Barber's guest on JCMS Author Interviews. They discuss the article she co-authored in the July/August edition of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery: Medical Education and Resident Dermatology Education in Canada During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Kirk and Kerri talk about the challenges the pandemic created in medical education, the innovations used to overcome them and why some of those new virtual ways of communicating and educating will carry on into the future.

As well as being host of Dermalogues, Kerri Purdy is also an assistant professor and division head of Dermatology at Dalhousie University and a past President of the CDA.

Her co-authors on this article are: Malika Ladha, Harvey Lui, Julia Carroll, Philip Doiron, Carly Kirshen and Aaron Wong.
