Mark Swain - Artist a Mad Scientist
John interviews his super creative neighbor Mark Swain about his work as an artist, animator, and his time at Disney. For over 20 years Mark Swain has worked in the film and television industry as a 3D computer graphics artist, modeler, software designer, and educator. Computer graphics began as a perfect way to bridge his interests in art and science. He has been able to stay at the forefront of technology by applying these skills to new fields such as 3D printing, rapid prototyping, microcontrollers, augmented reality, user interaction, and higher education. Throughout his career, he's been fortunate to serve as a “translator” between renowned artists, designers, and scientists. Working at Disney Animation Studios for over 12 years taught him how to bring complicated digital tasks to the user level through workflows and interactive experiences.
