Become an Action Oriented Leader

Jody and I are exploring what it means to be “Action Oriented” and how that can and will set an individual apart, whether in leadership or a support role. What does it mean to be action-oriented? How do urgency, energy, and enthusiasm impact our attitude when it comes to approaching a challenge? As leaders, we know the importance of making decisions, but sometimes unnecessary planning can leave an initiative dead in the weeds. Action-oriented individuals identify and seize new opportunities. They are the kind of person that will help a team succeed.  Often, the fear of making mistakes can leave us in a place of analysis paralysis. Looking at all the angles has benefits, but by the time you look at them all, the opportunity will pass. Action-oriented individuals understand that mistakes may happen, but the momentum gained. As a leader, it is imperative to know how to coach an action-oriented person and how to increase capacity for risk and clearly define priorities.   Resources: FYI: For Your Improvement – Korn Ferry Magical Vacation Planner 407-442-0257 Connect with Dan: www.dancockerell.com Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/dancockerell/ LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/dancockerell/ Facebook - www.facebook.com/dancockerellspeaker
