Positively Influential
The New Indian Express' youth, campus and education magazine Edex is turning 10. While we were patently uncertain if celebrating a milestone was appropriate or possible in these times, we then realised that perhaps there is no better time to celebrate the good that is amongst us, within us and constantly beeping on a phone near us. While frontline workers and governments continue to put their lives on the line to quell the persistent threat that is the COVID-19 virus, we realised that there is an undercurrent of responsible content that often shapes our thoughts, our opinions, lends a hand when we need one or even give us much needed comic relief when humour is in short order. And very often it's arrival is as inconspicuous as that ever-so-familiar 'ping' that heralds the arrival of a tweet, a new story on Instagram or a post on Facebook. Edex and The New Indian Express have been curating the 40 Under Forty list since 2017. We featured collections of impactful grassroots teachers in 2017, innovative start-ups in 2018 and environmental impact-makers in 2019. All the people selected have been chosen after a careful process of editorial selection and nomination. Here, you can listen in to the journeys and ideas that led helped influence the influencers.
