Released on September 24th, 1991 Nirvana's 'Nevermind' was expected to sell 500 thousand copies at best. It’s gone to sell over 30 million copies. By January of 1992 it surpassed Michael Jackson’s 'Dangerous' to go to number one on Billboard.
