Ep. 38: FREEDOM through a Multi-Generational Community, with Barbara Christensen and Drew Walsh

One of the best parts of the Freedom Challenge is the vibrancy of generational connections. This episode gives insight into how the intense environment of a challenge creates and strengthens relationships between older and younger women. Women leave the events with life-long friendships they wouldn’t of pursued without this experience, and mothers and daughters who participate together build a stronger bond.

Excerpts from the episode:
"We had one woman on the team who was certainly several decades older than a group of us young girls. I remember we were gleaning wisdom from her the entire time asking about her marriage, asking about her family, her life, the way that she lived and the decision she made." - Drew Walsh

"What I remember most was the help and the tender care, being almost 73 and feeling a little bit wobbly and in some cases a fall risk, of the two [younger] women coming alongside to help me cross a river. That that was an encouragement to me and a fond memory." - Barbara Christensen
