The mysterious company behind a misleading coronavirus drug study

When the World Health Organisation saw data from a study into a possible coronavirus drug treatment, it immediately halted trials for safety reasons. The data implied that use of the drug hydroxychloroquine didn't help COVID-19 patients at best, and was even possibly harmful. But it turns out that the data were suspect, misleading and based on some pretty weird assumptions.
