POETIC JUSTICE (1993): JANET JACKSON a TUPAC SHAKUR

No, my first name ain’t baby...nor is it Miss Jackson (if ya nasty). This week I’m once again joined by first time returning guest co-host, Angie (@poetrysoul3), to talk about Janet Jackson AND our first DIVO Tupac Shakur in John Singleton’s “Poetic Justice” (1993).  LOGLINE:  A Romantic drama centered on Justice, a hairdresser who is still dealing with the violent death of her boyfriend and finds comfort in writing poetry. She accompanies her friend Iesha on a road trip from South Central LA to Oakland with her boyfriend a his friend. The film is really a character study on how the inner city violence was affecting young, African American adults during this time. *Email us for show notes: divadailiespod@gmail.com *Twitter a Instagram: @divadailiespod *Diva Hotline: 714-729-3121 TIME STAMPS: - Oscar a Razzie Moment of the Week (03:02) - Movie Breakdown (10:14) - Pop Corn a Pop Stars (59:40) - Spill the Technicolor Tea (71:53) - Tinseltown Showdown (81:38) - Show Me the Receipts (82:34) - Closing Thoughts/Impact (92:02) - Coming Attractions (95:31)
