I've said it once and I'll say it again - succulents ae BAD houseplants! I really mean that. I am speaking in broad terms here but take heart in knowing that just because you've "killed a succulent" doesn't mean you are doomed to be a plant killer! It just means that a succulent, or that particular succulent, wasn't a good ft for you or the growing conditions your home provides.
