Heroes Never Die

On the afternoon of October 24th, 2015, 32-year-old Nick Clavier was driving down Hull Road in Chesterfield, Virginia with his four children. They had planned to go fishing at a nearby pond, before returning home for a family movie night while his wife Melody was out of town. But on the drive, something happened leading Nick’s vehicle to go over an embankment where it eventually crashed into a tree. Though the children were not harmed in the accident, Nick suffered a considerable amount of head trauma. When police arrived on scene, they located a firearm on the driver’s side floorboard, leading law enforcement to question if Nick had potentially shot himself. But years later, the truth would finally be revealed…  Special thank you to Melody Clavier-Weston and Laura French for their contributions to this episode.  Written by Ryan Williams, Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway.    Visit Invisible Choir on the web:  Patreon - Invisible Choir Premium:  https://www.patreon.com/InvisibleChoir  Website:  https://www.invisiblechoir.com/  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/InvisibleChoirPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/invisiblechoir/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleChoir   Support Our Sponsors:  Green Chef: Go to greenchef.com/invisible130 and use code “invisible130” to get $130 off, plus free shipping!  Thrive Market: Visit thrivemarket.com/invisible to get 40% off your first order and a FREE gift worth over $50!  Upside: Download the FREE Upside App and use promo code “invisible” to get $5 or more cash back on your first purchase of $10 or more!  Upstart: Visit upstart.com/choir to check your rate on a personal loan today!    Written/Audio Sources:  Nickolas “Nick” Clavier Obituary Nick Clavier Facebook Melody Clavier Facebook Mom breaks silence, reflects on three year fight to prove her son didn’t kill himself Mark Jefferson Obituary Police identify Powell Road victim Family rents billboard in hopes of closing cold murder case Richmond family puts up billboard to help find man’s killer Man who killed Chesterfield dad in 2015 died 3 months later Death of Nick Clavier Man who killed Chesterfield dad was a wanted criminal and is now dead Suspect in 2015 deadly shooting of Chesterfield father died in 2016 Jerquell Cheatham Richmond Homicide #4 2016 Jury finds man guilty in fatal Richmond nightclub shooting Man sentenced to life in prison for Richmond nightclub murder   Music & Sound Effect Sources Opening Track: Oort Cloud - Amaranth Cove  Closing Track: The Saddest Moment - Oren Sharon   Music & Sound Effect Sources All music and sound effects used with express permission under unlimited blanket license authority from Epidemic Sound ® and SoundStripe ®.  Individual sources are available via request at info@invisiblechoir.com  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
