In this episode of the prequel series to Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, the entire extended Targaryen clan comes together for Laena's funeral, and tensions come to a boiling point.  Aegon claims Laena's dragon for his own, which puts him at odds with Rhaenyra's and Daemon's children in a fight that has permanent consequences.  Then, Alicent and Rhaenyra force the court to choose sides in the aftermath of the confrontation, showing Viserys to be weak and ineffective in the growing conflict between his wife and daughter.  This then forces Rhaenyra to remove her husband Laenor from the equation so that she can marry and ally herself with her uncle Daemon Targaryen in a shocking twist ending.
