Overcoming the Curse of Perfectionism
Our theme this week is overcoming our innate perfectionism. As busy people, we’re bound to be hard on ourselves.
Yet, as I discovered after Teal’s death, perfectionism is just a tired old habit—one that can be ultimately released and discarded.
I begin this show with an easeful essay I wrote back in 2012, On Loving My Imperfection, from my book Surrendering to Joy. Then I add a few updates notes and observations of my own.
May it inspire you to relax, ease the pressure and love yourself more…even when times are tough.
Much love,
Suzanne
PS. Don’t forget to check out a special meditation I created for overcoming our perfectionism. All part of Meditation Friday this week. See you there!
