Delk Road hit-and-run leaves pedestrian in critical condition

A 40-year-old man from Houston, Texas, is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Delk Road in Marietta. The incident is being treated as a hit-and-run. The pedestrian was hit by a white 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck and the driver fled the scene without calling for help or providing aid. The truck was last seen entering I-75 northbound from Delk Road. The injured pedestrian was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment. The Marietta Police Department is actively investigating the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact Officer K. Bedford at 770-794-5364.
