In this 30 minute A and Q, I was interviewed by CSM Canadian Media In to answer common misconceptions about hypnosis. It looks like Hollywood ruined Hypnotherapy yet again!

Is Hypnotherapy capable of forcing someone to do something they do not want to do? Can you be hypnotized and forced to do something diabolical or illegal? Generally speaking, no. Persuasion is easier when a person is in a hypnotic trance. However, persuasion depends on several factors. It is doubtful to convert an average person into a killer. It is possible to use Hypnotherapy to plant such images, feelings, and stories in an unaware person, who may then give in to the pressure and commit an act they may not have otherwise considered.
