This is Season 2 Episode 22: Music, Grillz & Mastering Beliefs Feat: Mattie B. & Tahoe 404 Music 2 women that are artists creating a path and a name for themselves in the business on music and arts. Inside this dope interview Mattie B., Tahoe 404 Music and myself unpack a lot about these 2 ladies background all the way to now...on the road traveling from State 2 State with Musician Tailors. 

Mattie B. is a singer, songwriter and creator and a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she was a standout basketball player and track star during her high school years. Mattie would graduate from high school and go on to attend North Carolina State University on a track scholarship where she received a degree in Psychology and Sociology. 

Tahoe 404 Music was born and raised in the city of Atlanta where she attended multiple high schools but ultimately graduated from Stone Mountain High School. While in high school Tahoe played in the band where she began her journey as a Drum Major which led her to attend Fort Valley State University (HBCU). While there Tahoe would continue her career as a Drum Major, a role she received and held on to for 4 years while at the university and later recognized for in the New York Times.


During this episode Mattie B. and Tahoe talk about the beginning stages of dealing with music. Mattie B. got into the love of music early and began writing hooks, kicking freestyles while Tahoe grew up asking her father for a 88-key Grand piano to receive the next best thing a Yamaha 49 keyboard.  At the tender age of 11 Tahoe would freestyle with her cousins and wrote her first song "We're Going to a Party". 


Both ladies detail their time in college chasing a degree along with staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the world of music. Upon graduating Mattie would return home and get involved various things such as teaching, coaching, running a daycare and launching her jewelry line Mastering Belief Custom Jewelry. Tahoe would take a ride down Rockbridge Rd. where she would make mistakes, wrong turns and even detours that eventually led her to where she is today 

Mattie B. now resides in Atlanta where she puts her focus into her music from writing, recording demos and traveling to LA and NYC building relationships and shopping her music. Tahoe is also in Atlanta where she began her music production company Tahoe Music ATL. She is a producer, writer and composer specialized in making beats and creating music for all purposes.
