On 21st May 2020, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra did two successive tweets. He had attached a letter from Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RJSRTC) to UPSRTC, demanding Rs 36,36,664 for the buses used during the evacuation of Students from Kota to Agra and Jhansi.In his second tweet, Mr Patra attached a copy of a cheque of Rs. 19 lacs from UP govt to Rajasthan govt. Sambit Patra claimed that Rajasthan govt had stopped the students’ buses in the middle and led them to go only when the amount was paid in the mid-night. According to media reports, The evacuation of students from Kota to UP was done in between 17th April and 19th April 2020.
