PARTS OF SPEECH - ADVERB - TYPES OF ADVERBSParts of speech deals with the part played by a word in sentence. We know that there are 8 parts of speech in U.K based English grammar. They are noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction and interjection. A noun is a naming word. A noun is the name of a person, place, thing or an idea. A pronoun is a word that is used instead of a noun. We discussed about some of the major types of pronouns. An adjective is a word that qualifies a noun or pronoun. A verb says something about the subject. It can be an action, event or status of an event. An adverb is word that qualifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb. The major adverbs are adverb of time, adverb of place, adverb of frequency, adverb of manner, adverb of degree and quality, adverb of reason, adverb of affirmation and negation, interrogative adverb and relative adverb.
