When doing a new Leverage I’ll spend the majority of the time asking questions to get to know the guest until I have a grasp on where the pressure points are. So I don’t start giving advice until later in the podcast.... Have you ever felt stretched thin? Maybe felt like you aren’t that great at saying no? A lot of times when you are accepting a lesser role than you deserve, it’s because you don’t have enough love for yourself to stand up and say something. And if that’s not it, it’s self doubt. When you take a stand and say, “no I’m ready for a bigger role,” you have to back it up with work. And the pressure you put on yourself, is GOOD PRESSURE. Don’t be fooled. We can’t expect to go through life and have something handed to us because we are good people. You GOTTA ASK FOR IT. And let them know, “YOU JUST MADE ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS.” I’ve never not succeeded and I won’t let you down. Then go work and back that shit up. You’re a star, you’re meant to be a star.
