Alan McElligott is an associate professor and researcher who focuses on understanding how evolution, ecology and domestication have shaped the social behaviour, cognition and vocal communication of livestock. The main species for their research are goats, chickens, and cattle. They produce knowledge that is relevant to animal behaviour, as well as animal husbandry and welfare.
